Been a while since I've done this, actually draw a more realistic Pronema and not use her old Maya 3D model as a type of base/reference/guide.
Been chatting about maybe doing a quickie comic in the future about how flexible and inflexible some of my characters are, and a pose like this would be too weird for it, plus Pronema is like 9' tall and is a bit too heavy to do those standing leg grab things. But doing something like this is more uniquely her, since she looks so drippy, so played off of that theme and got this in the end. Just really like the pretty model pose, so this isn't meant to be much of a depiction of anything except artsy.
Drawing this was easy, shading however was a complete and utter pain. For some weird reason a lot of my characters are either metaloids in some level of composition or if they're not then they've got large metal weapons. I think few of my main characters don't sport some annoying metal appendage or accessory that is metallic and thus a pain the the butt to shade. I do this to myself. Pronema is at least low detail but because she is a mercury Nenenee then she is insanely reflective, and the most reflective of all my characters. (Even Chaos Mewblade and her full-coverage titanium is less reflective despite being fresh metal because titanium has a lower overall reflectivity and its porous.) Part of the reason why I'm usually inclined to render Pronema in 3D over shading her traditionally is that she is a shading nightmare. But there we go, pretty melty Pronema pic. Love the end result. Very vogue.... Unless you're a pervert and here to marvel at her shiny metal ass.............. Can't do such experimental stuff when I get commissions and requests for sure!
(BTW, I do appreciate comments and want to know what you think!)
Photoshop CS4
For those who want to know more about Aons, Forces, and my character, Fatality...
