Arriving late to hearts and hooves day? Yeah, 100% true, but I don't really mind. I wanted to do a cute drawing with a romantic topic and here it is the result.
The idea was really simple, I wanted to draw two padded ponies drinking from the same milkshake while looking each other with passion, summarizing, a classic scene, something simple but good to try. I had some doubts related to the ponies that I was going to use, but well, I reminded that Sweetiemash is one of my favorite shippings (Why? I don't know, I guess both look too cute and innocent for me and I like that idea). The challenge was then to make the drawing as romantic as possible including the brilliant moonlight and other tiny details. I guess I'm pretty far of the most romantic drawings, but I still like it a lot, especially because it is really cute n.n
I also decided that I would be cutter if they were in a "blank flank date" probably even before Sweetie met the other crusaders.
So, what do you think? Does this drawing deserve some dawwwws? :3

Most definitely! The scene is so sweet and innocent. What it makes me think of is how little kids will see romantic scenes of love and want to try them out to see why they are so special.
Maybe, for Button Mash, he played a game that was about someone trying to save their prince, or princess. The game had lots of cute sounds and the way the hero, or heroine, talks about being with their special some pony again makes him wonder what it would be like to play that heroic character?
For Sweetie Belle, she may have heard Rarity talking about how much she enjoys seeing well-dressed stallions? Maybe Rarity had a liking of Prince Blueblood ever since she was a young filly? Watching her older sister want to spend time with Prince Blueblood, along with dress to look all pretty and princess-like, would make Sweetie Belle curious as to what is so special about it?
Then, one faithful day, Button and Sweetie talk about playing a game where he must save the princess, played by Sweetie Belle. They dress up in lots of fun costumes before the game comes to a wonderful conclusion. With peace restored, Button's mom and Cookie Crumbles decide to set up a special moment between the hero and princess.
As the game is over, both decide that they do not want to wear all those fancy clothes and decide to just stay in their diapers. The milkshake is brought out and the two just get all caught up in a game of who can drink more of the milkshake before they get a 'Brain Freeze'.
The scene, being too adorable, is photographed by the families and the photo adored as Button's mom and Cookie Crumbles imagine if the two will stay together forever.
