Here things are all welded up and ready to be bolted to the new rock hammer. Used something in the neiborhood of 15-20 pounds of welding rod to get things buttoned up.

How often to you run larger rod like 3/16"?
I know you can do anything with 3/32 just fine but slowly, and 5/32 is like the largest that I see usually stocked in stores around here...
I got a handful of 1/4" 6013 from my grandpa, burnt through it pretty quick (and I hate 6013) but that stuff would build up a huge bead fast.
