The thick glass, smeared and dirty in places, made focusing difficult. The lighting was also fairly bad, so the photo is grainy here.
The four resident cougar siblings that had been at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs since 2007, as I recall, have all since passed. So with heavy hearts we welcome the new inhabitants of their home. These are young cats, some are siblings, one died last year. So there's already tragedy there. The most recent addition is younger yet, as you can see. He's quite a personality, as you can see. I think I recently read that the youngest was a male, so I'm going with that.
I'm adding this footnote again:
I understand people will save photos if they like them. That's fine to use as desktop or mobile backgrounds. I put metadata in all of them to try to have some sort of copyright, though I don't know if it makes much difference. If you want to print any of them, please let me know. I don't charge a lot for prints. I'd just like to get something. This is a passion of mine, and it's not profitable no matter my wishing it were so. Yet getting a little money every so often from prints makes it feel somehow like I'm doing something right. Justifying my continued energy put into the process of taking photos and expanding my skills. I hope that all makes sense.

Thank you, sir. You're always providing positive feedback. I see the graininess because I am used to working with photos and am overly critical. I do graphic design and photo editing for a living. Though my own photography is just a hobby. Thoughtful little kitty, isn't he? Cats often look like they're really musing over things. The mysteries of life, the universe, secret to all? 42?
