I felt like since Gene is my fursona they were kinda the least integrated character in my toon story so I set out to fix that by establishing them as a former 3D platforming mascot back when they were a kid. This was suppose to be the main piece which was a fake splash page or cropped instruction manual page that gave a short description of both kid!Gene and the villain they fought.
I even went so far to keep the descriptions pretty wooden so to give them that late 90s authenticity!

Thank you :3. Yeah I tried to shading style a bit similar to that from Sonic Adventure in particular just because when I think of classic 3D platformers that actually used 2D illustrations its definitely the games that come to mind. I... am not skilled enough in any particular 3D art program to make good low poly models of these characters (not yet at least!).
Good! I wish I could honestly make this game for real (there certainly is a bit of a market out there for new platformers that look like the old school ones) but yeah it would take a very long time and require for me to learn how to program well so probably not happening lol.
