Here is an up close glamour shot of the PCB with components installed.
SEQ-16 unfortunately did not get off the launchpad.
It was cool mounting all the components, and it gave me a lot of practice. However, due to my own goof ups on the PCB trace routing I was unable to get it working. The main culprit was directly my fault my using an outdated footprint for the mono jacks. I have since updated my PCB layout, but the damage was already done since the boards are fabbed. Ah well, lesson learned I guess. Other minor issues I need to figure out is one of the flip-flops is double triggering (but the other 7 on the board seem to be fine). I will probably be taking this back to the breadboard stage before I have another go round of boards.
The project was pretty ambitious of me.
The goof on the jack footprint was evident in two of my other circuits as well, so I will need to fix those, too. However, at least one of the modules I was able to make some quick modifications and get it worked. The other one...completely unresponsive. *sigh* So plenty to work on.
