Shikka is a neocrian shapeshifter, these creatures have no skull or skeleton definited.
they're made of a crytal made of artritium. this crystal is about 100 times stronger than diamond when it's not a living being [crystals in caves]. it is only a 10% stronger than diamond when it's a live being [living creatures].
like said, they got no skull at all. their whole body is a strong skeleton that can change texture, giving them the abbility to look like a another creature or even feel like them.
the markings around the skull represend the years of life of the crystal. this one has 18 human years.
