No, it's not me. I am not in fact a young beautiful woman.
I've finally managed to whittle down the 18 best images from the photoshoot with blackpheonix (Halo Husky).
She kindly modelled the new ladies-fit versions of the UKFur T-shirts, and three of those 18 images will make their way to my upcoming web-shop as the item action-shots.
The full set of 18 images can be found here: http://www.sci-fi-fox.com/?page_id=.....KFur%20Shirts/
I'd be interested to hear which ones everyone else things are best, as well as the inept (and vastly insufficient) compliments that will be left for Halo.
Photographs are © to Peter "Sci" Turpin, and Halo belongs to her amazing self (and/or Loki).

The white on pink was hard to shoot with the daylight glare anyway. Contrast was way off, so it's impossible to make out in most shots of that particular shirt anyway. I'll probably use this one for the product shot: http://www.sci-fi-fox.com/?page_id=.....604%20copy.jpg
hm....placement is correct
not sure about the wine glass, it seams very much like forced sophistication
also the serious look here just isn't working.
and this entirely a personal opinion, but smiling has always seemed like a better idea to me.
*shrugs*
but, I can't afford a decent camera, so I haven't done this professionally, so these are merely the observations of an amateur. >,<

The wine glass was intended to keep the image light actually. White wine, pink shirt, help balance it out against the predominantly dark background. To compliment it. I didn't actually concider context of the item itself. Something I'll have to watch for in future.
She does smile in a number of the other images, even more so in a lot of the rejected ones. Sadly a good natural and spontaneous smile seems hard to capture without the image blurring or getting odd shadows. Again, something likely to improve in future with an extra light source or reflector.
Picked this image to upload here because it seemed the most striking of the lot. Please let me know what you think of the images under the gallery link too!

Liza here! ^^ I agree, I like the pose. Though I think a big change would have been doing this with a darker colored shirt (sadly you don't do purple), Sci. You say the background is dark (which the framing is) but the large archeitecture and white in the background subtracts both from her face and the shirt.
-hugs- Just an idea. ^^

out of these I find these to be the best example in composition as they have equal parts visibility for the shirt as well as spontaneity thus showning the actual use and function of the shirt, at the same time being ...precise so as to accurately capture the balancing instant

http://www.sci-fi-fox.com/?page_id=.....ped%20copy.jpg <- this one in particular is excellent. An excellent smile, natural posture, she looks more, human(i guess that might be the wrong word on a furry site eh? ^_^)
but at the same time she looks better than human so to speak in the "flash of the camera"
and here the wine glass can be somewhat acceptable ^_^

I would have done some poses differently. o.=.o You need to get her in a room with a white background and be on location when it comes to load of sequences. I can go into detail.. ^.=.^; I'll stop here. So is there a pink UK Fur shirt now or showing you the look of the shirt used to print on?
It would be easier to get static posed shots, but I wanted some "action" shots to show the shirts being worn in environments. I'll be shots of them flat and ironed in a light tent too. I couldn't photograph her against a plain background. It doesn't seem full of life enough. But please, do go on. Never gonna learn if I don't take in other peoples knowledge and opinions too!
Yes, there is a pink ladies-fit UKFur shirt now. Probably the best shot of it's here: http://www.sci-fi-fox.com/?page_id=.....604%20copy.jpg
Really could have done with a secondary light source and a lower exposure I think to stop getting so much glare off the text in all the other shots.

Riiiight, I'm on your level now. Okay, now with these static shots it gives the consumer a greater look of the shirt, you know the whole shirt view and colour tone especially on a white background. If possible it would be advised to use a bright light and a decent camera, those SLR's? If not a standard digi cam would do and some Photoshopping skills. When doing a static shot though make sure she's standing still and facing towards the camera, It's best to do it how Stone Island model there clothes, relaxed so you can get a better idea of how it looks overall, front and back. You've got a good model here but remember to get a guy into do the lad's shirts. Static shirt idea http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3912957/
Action shots! Pick a environment, any enviornment. Make sure the clothes and look of the model compliment the scenery and have her in a type of mood suited to your taste and that of the product, she's there to sell it so make sure she sells! Let's have a look at this place you've got here. You can have her sat on/or leaning against the monument in the background. The wine isn't necessary but you can playfully use your imagination with it and have her make a nice smile, don't be afraid to style her hair abit with your hands and tell her what to do. Also have a look to see if she looks better or without the glasses and see if it's possible to have some clothes that compliment the shirt. It's got to look stylish, think professional. This type of shot you have here, (no offense) is modelling her arm pit, no visible shirt design and makes no sense.

Well I've uploaded some additional pics now too, which are my best considered ones of the shoot for use as action shots. Uploading this one was more as an attention-grabber for the link to the set of 18.
The camera I have is a 2nd hand FinePix S5600. It's not the best, but it was excellent for my rather slim budget. It's biggest issue is that it doesn't have a shoe or remote trigger, so it's stuck with an internal flash. But the original reason I got it was for decent macro shots of the small cast items I produce, and for doing good quality video blogs.
I've got some guys shots as well to come. Similar settings. Just haven't sorted through them yet.
The shop will have two sets of pics per shirt. One of it laid out flat and evenly lit, the other in-use to show how nicely it wears.
I also don't have a studio, and as this was my first "proper" shoot with someone I'm bound to make some mistakes. I should have been a bit more forward on specifics, but it's also a fun thing to see how suggestions are interpreted. I'll have to remember to temper than next time I'm taking shots for a set purpose.
