Amilya and her brother were born into a life of luxury, while her brother chose to not live up to the family traditions Amilya was forced to be the twin that held the lime light. Balancing her studies while also showing off the good family name.
Her brother took a different route, seeking magical knowledge and power for power's sake. Amilya was called to magic by the phoenix, she has long claimed that the fire bird has guided her development which is an unpopular opinion for an educated theorist.
Unpopular or not Amilya graduated from her schooling with top ranks and opened a general clinic with her then husband. Amilya stayed on the path of the straight and narrow for many years, until her husband was killed, this forced Amilya to revisit her morals and how she treated people. She opened a secret clinic for Espers and others who lived in the shadows who wanted to fight the corporations.
While running her shadow clinic she met and became good friends with Ole Joe. The old man took Amilya under his wing and he replaced the position of older brother that Amilya's brother had not seen fit to embrace.
