Sometimes, a failed sanity check can ruin an otherwise good day. Keeta, being a D&D character cast adrift across conceptual time-space, still carries much of the 'mechanics' of his universe, chief among them his sanity score. Whenever he is significantly stressed, he always hears the sound of knucklebone dice being rolled.

And sometimes, he becomes briefly aware of his true nature, and gains some ability to release his full power.
