Been thinking about this idea for a while and playing Chinese vehicles in WarThunder led me to it, it's a Chinese NRA soldier patrolling in a street in Numbay City (Jayapura) in Irian (New Guinea) after the joint Chinese-Nusantaran invasion of the country during the Russo-American War. In late August 2016, war erupted between the Russian Federation and the United States of America after a horrific terrorist attack at Demodovo Airport in Moscow left two hundred dead. Several months later, Australia, a key American ally, declared war on Russia and then both China and Nusantara, as members of the Neutrality Defense Alliance (led by Russia) in turn declared war on Australia. Neighboring Timor and Irian were quickly overrun and occupied, despite resistance from them and both Australia and the Solomon Islands, with Numbay City being among the first towns to fall to the invaders. Troops marched into the city even as separate divisions landed on the islands of New Pomerania and New Mecklenburg and the Chinese troops made themselves comfortable. A puppet government was eventually established, one friendly to President Shu Caifeng's administration, around the time of the Republic's invasion of northern Australia in May 2017.

This took a bit, mostly thanks to the guy's gear; world wars-era military equipment and uniforms are already complicated to draw and color, let alone their present-day counterparts. On top of that, I got distracted by playing games; whether it's WT, Thief: The Dark Project, Soldier of Fortune, finally playing Spyro Reignited Trilogy on PC, or emulating GoldenEye 007. The gear is a mixture of West and East Chinese; the equipment is primarily of pictures I found of soldiers in the Western/Mainland army while the camouflage is distinctly of East Chinese origin. One last note, I saw some artwork of Yangchuanosaurus with arm quills, so I wanted to include that with this particular character. It is questionable how he would put on a shirt but this is a world where so many wear shoes and boots seemingly made of a leather impervious to wear-and-tear from talons, so whatever.
