For Awe'kome (Ah-way-ko-may) the gecko, surfing is living. There isn't a wave out there big enough to deter him, and wouldn't you know it, all the good ones are in those restricted areas, off limits! Obviously someone doesn't want dudes like him having any fun, so why not sneak out there when no one's looking, right? And if he -is- caught, maybe they'll be so impressed by his skills that they'll leave him alone. Oh look, it's Ko'okohi (Koh-oh-koh-hee) the friendly sea creature, who happens to live in the off-limits area!

Maybe they'll be friends. ^^

This was my half of an art trade with  ryll Ryll, simply because the free pic he gave me was too awesome to stay free! In fact, I'm rather proud of this one, since it's a conglomeration of four different references (none of which happened to be Sobe). Shaka, everyone; enjoy!

(Edit: Realized that not everything should be so sharp and crisp underwater, so I blurred here and there... refocuses the attention on the gecko, I think. )
