I wonder if those "progressive" clowns will ever realize just how gross and sexist it is to say that a woman merely looking feminine and attractive makes her a bad role model or prevents her from being strong or having a personality. Cause like, they're literally saying that readily identifiable feminine traits are bad and/or a sign of weakness, especially if those traits are particularly prominent. They constantly judge female characters by their tit size, how pretty their faces are, what they're wearing, etc.

And yet they'll likely call US misogynists for preferring the original design.

Lola literally was just eye candy and had zero personality. Notice how people only ever draw her in a basketball uniform playing basketball ball. Because that is all she is. We knew nothing else about her. No one cares if a girl looks feminine or attractive. What bothers people is when people is when they blatantly make characters like her just so everyone, including the characters in the show, can ogle and objectify her. That is what they did in Space Jam and it was blatant and obvious. You couldn't tell me one single personality trait she had or anything else she could do or anything else she was good at or into except play basketball. And it is hilarious how people are twisting themselves into a pretzel trying to make her into something more than that. She isn't. She was just there for Bugs and other people to drool over and to make porn of. She is fine if you just want to fantasize about her but she is a shallow, pointless failure of a character. She could have been left out completely and almost nothing would change. That is why people are only concerned about them changing her figure. Because that is all she is and what she is for. No one seems to care if she will actually have an actual interesting personality this time around or not and not just stick out like a sore thumb and chew up the scenery.

Oh right. Such deep character development. Those few words that she spoke during the movie told us who she was, where she came from, her likes and dislikes, if she could do anything besides play basketball, what kind of people she likes, what kind of foods she likes, what quirks she has, what kind of connection she had with the rest of the team, her fears, her vunerablities. Come on man. She was eye candy and that is all she was. Even the people who draw her for porn have nothing else to go on except the fact that she plays basketball. Jessica Rabbit was one of the most sexy busty, voluptuous cartoon characters ever created and even she has tons more depth to her character than Lola did. Her whole deal was that she was more than what she seemed and wasn't just some pretty face with a sexy body. And everyone loved her for it.

Lola bunny debuted in space jam, where they made her sexy but refused to be objectified, she since then had her own comics working as a pizza delivery girl to gods, and showed she was just as quick witted in getting out of dangerous situations as bugs (didn't onow this before looking it up so can't speak for personality development) but you know what? You want something they did after space jam that had her as a featured, character, how about loony toons where they decided to de-sexify her cause it's properly a kids show and oh.. made her a motormouthed and so dumb she mistakes trailers at the theater for the movie they went to see, make her so repulsive to bugs bunny that she has to GUILT HIM INTO STAYING WITH HER, because she's obsessed over him, also paranoid, flipflopy and just to state again, cause its something they made clear through the entire runtime of the show, dull as a smooth round stone


But you know what? Sure, be angry at sexy ,independent, clever lola

Oh and uh, get this, people hated lolas character, not cause she wasn't wearing skimpy clothes (though I'm sure that crowd exists even though its a show for children) but because they turned her into a ditzy bimbo instead of keeping her instead of keeping her independent and competent

That and they tended to write her and Bugs the same way bad fanfic writers portray Amy Rose and Sonic, with her as a crazy borderline-yandere stalker and him as being actively and openly repulsed/scared by her.

Also, here's something funny I realized in retrospect: Looney Tunes Show actually gave Lola slightly bigger boobs than she had in Space Jam, AND they weren't afraid to have her show some cleavage. They also kept her cute overall apperance-wise. And on top of this, there's the show's other female characters to take into consideration. The makers of a mediocre children's show that dumbed Lola down and destroyed her and Bugs' relationship still technically had more actual respect for women than the tit-fearing twit directing Space Jam 2, who believes feminine characteristics and sexual attractiveness make a woman incapable of being strong, smart, competent or a good role model and prevent her from having a personality.

Man, that's a lot of words just to say "sexy character bad".

I mean if you aren't going to actually read or try to understand what I wrote why bother answer? Just keep on being ignorant and ignore me. It is hilarious how the more you guys talk the more you prove that the only thing she had going for her was the way she looked. That is why I just have my popcorn here, watching as grown people cry about Mr Potato Head, Lola Bunny, Dr Seuss, Muppets and make fools of themselves over it. She was an awful character that they blatantly used as eye candy. Get over it.
