American Mustelid Alpha - Episode 10, "The Gauntlet Of The Century", Winner Reveal
Ep 10, Part 2 || Archives
And so it ends. Thanks a lot to whoever followed this amazing journey (and please, don't forget to sound off in the comments about what you thought of this entire season and our winner!) I never thought I'd manage to pull off such a big story series, and I'm proud to say I managed to do it with the invaluable help of my best friend
harlow - whose skills and moral support were pretty much everything I needed to push through during this crazy journey.I started planning this story as I was looking into the eye of unenployment and I managed to complete it through a pandemic and with a new job in the television industry. This really is the best timeline to be in, and damn - even if this wasn't the furry blockbuster we dreamt, I'm super proud we managed to win over a steady readership and even solicit some fanart (thank you so much
forestgulo, and y'all go check on his stuff!). This isn't the last you see of these characters, nor is the last of HeadQuarters as a whole - so stay tuned for more and again, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for sticking through and making this AMA journey worthwhile!Q.

Would it be surprising that I kinda expected this? I mean, Kenneth was an ass, that's for sure, but he fought as much as Eddie did and got the title.
Personally, what I think did Eddie in was the... violent(?) scheming, plotting and backstabbing he did after losing Crispin. That event pretty much blinded him to some of the things that truly makes a good Alpha which included being honest and kinds to others. To me, it was then that he became so 'tunnel visioned', as Andrew put it.
But all of that aside... *applauds loudly* I'm gonna admit, not many stories I've read so far can capture my interest like this one did, and I am both happy and grateful to both of you and for the great and awesome effort, you put in this project. From start to finish I was intrigued as a multitude of emotions ran through me like horse racing, keeping me on my toes and gripping my seat in anticipation of what's next while, practically, holding my breath in wait for the next episode.
High and major kudos for this masterpiece of literature and I hope to see more of what Headquarters can bring in the future and you have in store for us next.

With Eddie, we really had to go down that route once we figured out he wasn't going to win. I've always thought he was perceived as way more dominant (and some might say even as the "designated winner" of the lot) within the game than we actually depicted him as - especially due to his background and how he basically brushed off every obstacle he found on his way. If he'd managed to keep up his "friendly" side he sorta dropped when the rest of the group got Crispin (remember the pec dance and all that) he would probably have won over most of the jurors, given that Kenneth wasn't all that popular himself.
Thanks a lot for the praise, it really means a whole lot!

Oh well done Kenneth :D He had in him all along...and against Eddie, one of the scariest of the bunch :O
I've been catching up on this story after a pause and I admit I did miss some of the characters, like the fabulous Chayne and Greasy Z. And I was sure they would go hungry in the house without William :p I look forwards to anything else you two make :)
