Behold: The Dream Goddess, Shoni (and her mortal alter ego, Shanna)

Though few worship her and even fewer know her name, she does indeed exist and exerts real influence over the dreams of the mortals whom she plays with.

Her play is always in good fun, if mischievous.

Every night, every mortal is visited by the Dream Goddess. Your dreams, your adventures, are all thanks to her. She wishes to entertain mortals, make them happy, banish nightmares and bring comforting relaxation.

Or to sometimes just play silly pranks.

Have you ever woken up exhausted, barely able to wake up, fluttering in and out of consciousness? That was her, having done her job of comfort much too well...perhaps even greedily trying to pull you back to her realm...

"...just a few more minutes..." you both say in tandem.

If ever you've wet the bed, you've fallen victim to one of her silly pranks. Same if you woke up sweating or drooling.

And wet dreams? Those were her, too, ever the prankster that she is.

Still, it's in good fun. And after all is said and done, all mortals eventually leave the realm of sleep. She's all powerful in her realm of dreams but has no influence outside of that space. Not that she minds, she has plenty fun in her realm.

Of course, she DOES exist outside of your dreams. In the sleepiest parts of the world there exists a mattress shop. Actually, several across the world.

All these scattered mattress shops are the same, and have only one employee: a woman in her 30s named Shanna. She always knows just the size you need and manages to get you the comfiest mattress you've ever did lie on...and for so very cheap as well~!

Lie upon the mattress and you'll never have sleep without rest, always waking energized...and more than ever you will see her, the dream goddess, vividly in your dreams. Near to every night she can come to you more directly. You can feel her touch, her warmth, everything...

And more than that...you can hear her hushed, whispered voice talking to you, relaxing you.

And maybe this will convince you to worship her.

If a worshiper can find her again in the mortal world, she may offer them to become one with their goddess, her mortal body shedding to reveal her true goddess form, here in the waking world.

She will take her loving worshiper in hand and swallow them alive. In her depths they will become a new star in her fluff's constellation map, shining with all of her other toys and worshipers, here with their beloved goddess forever.

Forevermore these stars can be used as background characters or major players in the dreams of mortals. These stars are immortal like her, like lesser deities that belong to her, and play just as strong a role in mortal's dreams as she does, under her direction.

Each star is loved, cared for, cherished, forevermore. Playing with their goddess for all the rest of time and beyond time's end, safe and warm.

So nestle in bed. Close your eyes.
