I think a front shot is easier, since most people focus on the front, they understand the landmarks and such better. I'm not great at backshots, I can see flaws in this already, but really I think it depends on what you make yourself familiar with. If you study it, the back has just as many landmarks as the front, people just pay less attention to it.
