Hey guys, unfortunately, due to an off planned schedule b/c of the ice storm, I typed this ahead of time for the next month's line up. Making it up the next month for the 3 left, so let's get to it!
With the Passive done, it's now time to get more Aggressive with this week's review.
Let's get to it!
Doomsayer Aggressive:
Wrapper: Maduro
Binder: Indonesian
Filler: Nicaragua, Honduran, Pennsylvania (U.S.) Broadleaf
Pre-Light/Construction:
The size and shape was the same, but the color for this maduro wrapper was nicely cut and wrapped. The box they were in was more broad and made to look intimidating. This time the band was with black and gold. The scent itself was very very in cocoa and pepper with a hint cedar. It sparked alot of power overall. The veins and seems were present with a few roughs and edges for the finish. With a bit of oil to shine it off, I was ready to light it up.
The Burn Part 1:
The first few puffs with a vibrance of dark chocolate and black pepper. A much more potent and sturn start for the stick. I could only imagine how strong it was gonna get down the line. The draw was good and loose. A bit of leather notes did come to pass here and there through the retro-hale. I was sitting down at the club with a ginger-ale watching some reviews. So far the stick itself started out a bit strong, but I can only wonder where to next. Let's see.
The Burn Part 2:
As the stick went down, the cedar notes started to roll in and bit of age. =The pepper notes along with the dark chocolate notes were still drilling my palate with strength. It was strong, but I felt level headed surprisingly. So far the stick itself was strong, but the character has got alot of balls. So far no changes as of this 3rd.
The Burn Final:
Not much has changed but a few traces of cedar started to drift away a bit while the dark chocolate notes made a layered overall tone. Still in strength, it was a strong sweet tone. Like if sweet had some steroids before the game. At this, my head was getting pretty pounded with this much strength. Near the end, the main flavor that pretty much makes the triumphet end is the dark chocolate. Mainly a sweet, but strong end. Something strong, but with badass character. With that, I put it in the ashtray with a weary smile.
Verdict:
Sweet, yet a ball breaker in strength. A particular stick that knows how to show both it's rough, but sweet side. Something for the palate, if you have the balls for it. IF you have the balls for it.
