Ah, yes, sniper by bow. I LOVE doing that. Almost no sound at all, both when firing and when hitting its target, and you can be repositioned and firing again before the rest of them even know you're there. Unfortunately you can't get too much range with them, or the drop-off/wind will kill your shot, but within a certain meter radius? Fuck yeah. Beats any gun ever made for that. With a rifle, no matter how good it is, they always know you're there with the first shot and so are panicked, alert and most likely immediately seeking cover, making follow up shots even more difficult.
With a bow, however, you can realistically get three or four of them before their confusion ends and they start seeking protection.
Now, that's just within a certain meter radius. If you're going for long-distance sniper shots, then yeah nothing beats a rifle. But for medium-to-short range? A bow is always the best option.

If you can hit stuff with a bow and arrow at 2 km range, you are literally a god. :p That's the distance from the temple to the nearest village waaaaay down below.
This bow's max range is around 800m, and effective range is 500. Even at that range you have to be basically Hawkeye. To give you some perspective, standard olympic archery range is 70 meters. And those motherfuckers don't even hit good all the time.

Well yeah, like I said, bow only beats rifle within a certain meter radius. But even then, if they hear the shot they're already alerted a sniper's there and they need to seek cover. Of course, not knowing where said sniper is located will make that difficult, but the point is they're already notified. With a bow? Not a chance. Unless they're close enough to hear the 'twang', and then you're way too close for a bow anyway.
Of course, most snipers only need one shot as they're only gunning (pun intended..) for a single target. With a bow, though, you can clear out a good half of the guards at least before anyone knows you're there. Then again, if they're walking in a pattern that ensures they see each other every few seconds then even a bow won't help past one, maaaybe two targets before the entire base is on full alert. But few bases have an SOP like that.
Still, this is all fantasy-based tech, so maybe the rifles are just as silent as the bows. ;3

Yeah. Most guards walk a beat that keeps them in a straight line for as long as possible. The idea is to use as few guards as possible to keep as much of the area in line of sight as possible. So, even if you see one guard and manage to off him, it's likely that within 10 to 20 seconds another guard will be in view, depending on where in the beat of the first guard you off him. So, the best idea would be to wait until guard 1 is about to make his turn, off him, and immediately turn to where guard 2 will be turning into view and off him. That should give you the most amount of time before guard 3 would appear.
The blue bracelet is a power link, yes. The bow has a mechanical drawing assist, making it a lot easier to draw. The bow's output is way higher than its draw strength, as a result.
This all means that Mis just pulled it without using the mechanism since she doesn't have a power link. Effortlessly.. :p

Well if the bow has a history with Mis and the temple.
It must have a very colorful and possibly just as much a dark history as it does light. But just as it brings up questions about Mis and the bows history, it also asks the question of what it says about Rose?
Who did Rose get it from and possibly is their a more hidden and dangerous side to Rose?

I assure you, she's fully educated in the ways of archery. She's not planning to release the string, because she has no arrow knocked and releasing the string without an arrow can demolish the bow. Also her elbow IS outward, which is why we can see the tendons and muscle intersections of the inside of the elbow, and the biceps is in the position it's in.
I just looked at this page again and saw something interesting. I don't know why I didn't notice it earlier. I guess I was too impressed with how well the shot was drawn but, in the second panel, Meeka is holding the bow right-handed and when she takes the shot, she's holding it left-handed. Then, when Mis is holding it, she's holding it right-handed. LOL.
