Lola never had a big chest tho. A lot of folks are thinking she did, but only because somebody put the brand new design next to a 2010 fanart pic by Spiritto.
1996 Space Jam Lola didn't have a big rack, and the new look is not at all a huge change. Her chest became slightly smaller and her butt got slightly bigger, that's all. lol

I like large boobs just fine, and boobs in general are great.
Old Lola's chest was fine, and so is the new one IMO.
I'm just annoyed at all the controversy being sparked by folks outraged over new Lola, getting all butthurt as if this was the fauly of some evil group on the internet and not just the designers deciding for themselves how Lola should look.

if the designers chose to make her flat they need to be fired... holly wood has been ruining shit left and right and them trying to ruin Lola is just annoying. They're told not to make a live action movie of Avatar the last air bender that nobody asked for... they do it anyway and it's garbage...they make a live action full metal alchemist and butcher the entire story for another train wreck. I just don't want Lola to be the next victim, I figure Twitter Puritans are behind it as they've been going ape shit about other stuff where the girls got breasts bigger than A cups and some how getting their way. Although i could be wrong... they've been attacking anime a lot lately so maybe Lola wasn't on their radar and holly wood is just being stupid again
Preach it! I hate how a vocal minority of overly sensitive people can influence culture, period. It's nice that they've got a voice, as everyone deserves a platform, but that doesn't mean we need to actually listen to and obey them. Ruining basically everything for no reason is becoming a problem. Granted, I was done with Hollywood way back when they remade RoboCop and Ghostbusters and completely altered the stories, but still...
Lol nvm you clearly don't understand.. Lol if you want to see a body type walk outside.. People rely to much on tv sometimes.. But hay at the end of the day everyone has there own opinion. I'm hoping they do well with lola's character because the first one I did not like. no personality at all
I'm just barely old enough to remember reruns of Loony Toons and characters like Tom & Jerry, Sylvester, etc. Those cartoons had no problems showing female character that where anatomically appropriate for adult women. Just sayin'...
As for your logic, it feels like you're saying "make everything on TV pure, because children, and if you want reality, leave your house", which is the same argument the hardcore Christian Right used to make back in the 90s. Also, just sayin'...

Some might say they got away with it back then because people weren't that observant. Others might say it was because people were stronger and not so easily offended. I get what you're saying, and I'll admit that I think that all of the time. In those moments, I simply stop watching. At my core, I'm a free speech advocate, so my only argument is that if you don't think it's appropriate for your kids, take it upon yourself to safeguard your kids and not make it the responsibility of others, especially companies. When people say "think of the children", I typically respond with, "I am, so please watch your children so the rest of us don't have to." I said that almost 20 years ago, to people who didn't like South Park or Futurama, and I say it now, to the new era of moral authoritarians.
This is coming from a guy who doesn't even care about Lola's boobs or lack thereof. Oh, and Miles' art is still sexy. :3

Although if you look at some actual stills from the movie itself, or the "official" merchandise from it, Lola really wasn't that large to begin with -- maybe a C-cup, at most (and on some of the movie-merch I have here, not even that much; closer to a B-cup), but certainly not the DD-and-larger that most fanart gave her later.
Given that in her new appearance, she's wearing compression shorts and a sleeve, there's no particular reason to assume she's not also wearing a sports bra underneath the top, and that'll generally take a cup size off, right there.

Apparently people are using a drawing by Spiritto to compare the "original" Lola to the Space Jam 2 Lola to show how much they shrunk her breasts. Like, seriously.
It seems this is the one that's being cropped and put into the comparison images: https://e621.net/posts/127156?q=lola_bunny+towel
So they're not even comparing the new Lola design to the original, but rather a furry artist's "enhanced" rendition.

1: It's the shading. Spiritto's design is not a match for the 96 model, but the shading is 100% on point.
It's quite impressive.
2: I don't think anybody was suggesting spirito's fan art is bad. It's just funny that a 2010 fan drawing is being passed around by tons of people as an example of the original Lola.

Apparently the cancel culture thinks Wonka himself is a slave owner and the Oompa Loompas are the slaves being forced to work, TBH that is stupid as hell I don't understand how cancel culture it's a thing this is just as bad as when Peter Pan and the Aristocats got removed from Disney Plus
Eh, I kind of get that Pan is more a villain than a hero. That Asian cat pisses ppl off? Ichy did the same thing in All Dogs Go To Heaven.
Meh, we live in a world where Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is a cripple ppl don't like until he's shown he can contribute to society still.
Like there aren't more serious things going on in the world than yelling about kids stuff? Will admit though, it's been a hilarious pastime hear all the ranters out there

Worth noting people aren't saying no breast is not attractive. They object to people treating Femininity as a Bad thing.
this is a very well drawn picture. I hate what it stands for. ^_^ But it's a damn well drawn picture!
I got a kind of side, pointless question but... How long did it take you to figure out how much teeth to put there? Did you keep changing it to more, and less, kind of experimenting? Or did you just 'go with it' at the time?

So here's my take that no one asked for on the whole Lola controversy. If the problem with the first movie was that she was objectified too much by other characters, then just... don't objectify her in the next movie. Or chastise the characters that do. Sure, give her baggier/less revealing clothes and remove her makeup if you must, but there's no need to redesign her just because she's "too sexy," especially when the other characters remain the same. They changed her look to make her more "strong." Wtf is that supposed to mean? OG Lola is too sexy to be strong? Cancel culture is trying to cancel attractive women, which is discriminatory and hypocritical af. Honestly, I couldn't care less about the redesign, and I 100% agree that this has been blown totally out of proportion, I'm just tired of cancel culture and huge corporations succumbing to it (and this is just one very small example). It's total BS that a very small group of people get offended by something, so everything has to change to suit their agenda.
Anyways! Love this piece. Miles' work never disappoints.
