Tuerynth was halfway frozen, mildly startled by the red. She had fur? She was practically covered in it. Yet she was still a dragon, even though there was not a scale in sight. Was that even supposed to be possible? Or was it simply that he had not seen any?
Without even thinking, he blurted out, "Can I feel your fur?"
She gave him an odd look, and Tuerynth shrunk back a little- somewhat embarrassed he lost his composure so easily. It took her a moment before she responded, "Uh, sure."
Taken aback that she actually agreed, Tuerynth timidly reached out and touched the longest of hairs streaming from the mane of fluff surrounding her neck. It flowed beautifully to his touch, almost weightless in the subtle breeze. A very well taken care of coat it was too. There was not a hint of dirt, and everything was wonderfully silky soft. He thought he could detect the faintest scent of flowers rubbed into it, and he idly wondered how many hours she spent maintaining to have it stay so pleasant to the touch.
Before he realized it he was full on hugging her neck, and she had a claw on his chest as she gently tried to push him away. "Okay, off now. Please."
"Oh…" Tuerynth sheepishly let go and stepped back. "Apologies."
