Man, I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am to see a statement like this coming from someone other than me. That's always been my rationale for vore that is ambiguous and/or confirmed digestion even though I'm otherwise a strict endo/nonfatal guy: That all the time and effort a predator has to put into swallowing prey whole and alive implies it's super-important to them to have that prey whole and alive (and must be motivated by something bigger than "I'm hungry" or "This turns me on").
