Actually, many would disagree. And I wouldn't go that far. The movie was fantastic. The reason it was banned because of the people during the Civil Rights Movement thought it was racist, which it clearly wasn't.
And Disney has never forgotten it. They did built that ride. They just don't like it, and including many of us, that it's banned for no reason.
