I made a weird... I think I called it Smash Swirly? brush a while back, really liked it. Thing on the left at 40 pixels. Problem is that it comes to such a fine point that at 1% spacing it makes it fuzzy/soft! Evident over most of the hand there.
So I adjusted it, cut off the tiny points and went over it again, filling in most of the softer areas. Blended some of the hand there with it.
All this so I can just make my statement:
I really

Can NOT stand that soft fuzzy look. It's so bad. It has its uses, of course, but when people render an entire picture with it it looks muddy and disgusting.

Damn I love Smash Swirly.
Also 100% sizing here. This picture ended up being somewhat haphazardly enormous.

That'd be cool. I always see your blend coloring and just marvel at how much detail you put into it, and how long it must take you. Something as small as how soft a brush it can make or break the image, but that's the style, and it's really interesting to see how they can change with something as simple or as small by 1% softness.
