In StarFox Assault, after Krystal sensed Sauria under attack, the StarFox team rushed to Sauria to fend off the Aparoid invasion, and afterward were reunited with Prince Tricky of the Earthwalkers, it's a shame that Kyte's roll was completely dropped from StarFox Adventures. In Dinosaur Planet, she was Krystal's companion for the game, her Tricky to Fox/Sabre's Tricky. Princess Kyte is now a bit older, if Krystal was 16 during Dinosaur Planet, and is about 20-22 or so in Assault depending on your source, than Kyte must be 15-17 by this time. She is now ruler of the Cloudrunner Tribe. Here is Krystal with Queen/Princess Kyte, having an emotional reunion with her old friend. It honestly also works in the Meta.

I say this because the manual says 1 year, some covers of the game say "Several years", and the Wiki says 3 years, but I don't know what source they got from that. Though personally I think 3 years makes more sense as a time jump, that said 1 year seems to be the most common prevailing theory.
It was one according to the actual game. Wikipedia backs this up too. Also, I just checked the wiki, and unless I missed something, it doesn't claim it was three. It also has this from the back of the box:
