How fast the tables can turn! Multiple people saw something like this coming, some with excitement and some thinking it would be too predictable. To be fair, why would I show Geoffrey talking with them about a "plan" and recruiting Sly, unless I wanted to hint to something like this happening? I'm much more into storytelling that is organic and makes sense, as opposed to impossible to predict twists that come out of nowhere XD
It looks like Princess Sally Acorn managed to play her part well, getting Naugus to monologue his evil speech while Sly Cooper was able to broadcast it to the entire kingdom, a classic for sure! It should make it easier for Sonic the Hedgehog to get the chance to fight him now without opposition.
He still doesn't look that worried though, does he?...
