That is a neat concept.

For some reasons, I love the look of 3-digit hands for robots and cyborgs. I agree they don’t have the dexterity of normal hands, and they are somewhat feel cheap for “less complicated” robots. The only advantage I can think of is the digits can be made bigger and stronger within the same size of normal palm, to provide more solid grip.
