If this is WoW related, i got a relevent funny story.
This broad i'm kindof seeing met this guy at my school a while back, she gave him her number and agreed to go see a move with him. She showed up at his house a little late and he said he wanted her to come in to see something. She said that the movie would start soon that they should hurry but he insisted that she HAD to see this. So she went inside, he booted up his computer and showed him her World of Warcraft character telling her all about how much time he'd spent working on it.
Needless to say she got a freak splitting headache and went home alone without the movie. Chicks hate videogames, true fact.

From my experience, pretty much all do. When i'm seeing a girl, if i'm playing and she comes over, i turn it off right then and there before i she starts checking her watch and rolling her eyes at me.
The last girl i dated hated them too, she came over one night to cook us some dinner and i was playing resident evil4 for like the tenth time and she said go ahead and play while she cooks. While the food was simmering she came in and watched for a second, i don't remember where i was but she said "Ooh, this is scary, it's kindof cool". Then some sort of monster, don't remember what jumped out and she screamed and was totally enjoying watching it. She ended up begging me to play the game over from start to finish so she could see it, she came over every day, cooked dinner and watched me play RE4 for at least 2 or 3 hours, she was absolutely riveted and totally got into it, she watched from beginning to end. I guess i converted her but that was a pretty cool experience, she'd be furious if i played part of it when she wasn't around lol.

By "do something" I was meaning going out to do something... I have a friend who's bf (now ex-bf) use to invite her over and then spend hours on the computer with her watching... no invite to play or find a multi-player and never wanted to go out and do anything... so she took a back seat to the games and she said "bye"
I would agree that _most_ chicks hate video games. But I read something recently that said a survey done by Wall Street found that 39% of heavy gamers are women. Pretty nuts, huh? Even though I can't say how true that is, I can say that the foxy girl pictured above LOVES video games. She's the reason I play so much WoW, but on the flip side she's also gotten me drawing again.
Well i go to a big college for games and there are defenitely chicks there, but they all are ugly for the most part and only play final fantasy if anything at all. A chick at my work plays gears of war with me a lot but she's a total beast. Nice to see that you're seeing somebody (uhhh, i think), i sort of am but it's more of a friendship-we-gotdrunk-and-madeout thing.

You really ought to try and notice those things. I'm not going to tell you that you can't say it, but I personally resent the term, as it implies that being gay is bad.

You should learn the difference between political correctness and intelligent speaking. Politically correct is complaining that you shouldn't say something because it might offend people - which I didn't do. You have every right to offend me! Freedom of speech is all about that, and I hate political correctness too, because it violates free speech and stifles debate.

I don't believe it is unintelligent to use any slang or part of the vernacular that doesn't have the precise meaning that the dictionary definition for that word implies, after all, that's what slang is and the word "gay" to imply homosexuality started out the same way, gay originally meant something entirely different. I know exactly what the meaning of that word is and i chose to do it anyways because i'm not worried if people are looking for reasons to be offended, when people look for reasons to be offended it's likely you're going to offend them no matter what you say.
I speak how i feel and i don't walk on eggshells around people because i feel that to do so creates more barriers based on peoples differences when in reality the differences really aren't that great.

I can only speak on my experience. Out of the dozen odd girls i've dated and out of every girl i've ever been friends with, literally one would tollerate a videogame being played in her presence, and that was just because she found that particular game interesting for some reason.

*shrugs* I know three girls that like to play video games. My good friend Tabi loves em and loves to boast that she plays video games even though she has boobs. Her two sisters play video games, my friends younger sister's love to play video games, and my Friend's Aunt and girlfriend, who have become mutual friends of mine, both play video games.
I guess most women are too grown up or something to enjoy them. It's awsome when they do.

From my experience they're acctually embarassed that i'm an adult and i play them, let alone am going to school to help make them for a living. They think games are primarily for children.
I can't say how many times they have called me and when i tell them i'm playing a game at the moment they say something like "...Oh really, well give me a call when your done playing with your little game" or something equally condescending.

my mount cost me like 4 hours of getting free marks from my guild LOL ... well not free.. but just about only 2 teams in our fucking battlegroup can beat us .. them being "Pals for life" (yes the lerroy guild) and Arcanium Draconis which is peeps almost mor ehardcore than Brpvp.
