His passing around the end of February this year was nothing short of heartbreaking and devastating. Especially to his husband
winterwight If you can, you can give him some financial support for this trying times.

I never gotten to know Conner as much as everyone else who knew him as a great friend and fur. I made at least one favorite of his work YEARS ago back in High School, and I have left a few comments over the years while I've seen his work popping up in the favorites and galleries of others who enjoyed/commissioned his work... I have tried to commission himself but never had a good chance to do it... I saw his take of Benedict shortly after his passing and the idea for this came to my mind... I ask permission if this was in good taste to do this to be a tribute to Conner... that even with him gone and we will never see his art again, his inspiration, friendship, and love in general will continue on with everyone who had the privilege to know him...
I am not going to lie... this was hard for me to do. Conner's passing had me for a whirlpool of emotions... (I am still tearing up as I write this)... fear of the virus, fear of death coming for me, my family, and friends, fear of my future, fear of how I am living my life and where I am going with it, all my anxiety of the unknown welling up, and the conflicted feelings of what I can and can't do... I tried to be strong, but it still feels like I am being tugged in different directions...
I have tired my best with this piece. Drawing up a decent rough sketch and inking and coloring as well as I can with my basic program that came with a scanner I had 20-something years ago... It looks rough like with everything else I try to draw digitally with... but Conner was like that too, right? A little rough in some details, but he got better over time to which he worked in some great detail work. I can only hope I can be as talented as he was... if not as good of a user and friend to others.
Take care, be safe, wear your masks, and get your shots for Conner.
