A day in the woods
Misha woke up. He saw the sun for the first time that he could remember. He looked for Ritch, but he wasn't there. Then, he heard a loud three loud pops reminicient of gun shots. He panicked for a moment. They were close by. He walked over to an incline where he saw Ritch by a stream. He had used one of the rifles to kill three fish. He quickly picked them up and turned around to take them back to their little camp. He saw Misha. "Oh, morning Mish'." He said, "sorry if I spooked you." "No, it's alright." Misha replied, "What were you doing." "Getting breakfast. It won't taste the best, but it'll be something. I would have done it the old fashioned way but I don't have a fishing rod, so... I had to improvise." He held up the gun by his side in indication as he said "I had to improvise.". "Now all we have to do is remove the bullet shells and cook the fish".
After a while, the fish were ready. Ritch took a bite... and was slightly repulsed. "Ugh. See? Not the best, but they'll keep us well fed while we're on the lam. Your turn kiddo." Misha groaned a little, but when he took a bite of the fish... he was in awe. "This... is... AMAZING!!! I love it!!!" Ritch was a little confused and surprised. "Wow, bud! I could barely hold that in my beak and you love it?!" "Yeah! I dunno why, but it's the best thing I've ever tasted!!!" "Well then, I guess you'd really love sushi." "Can you catch some more, please?" "Later, buddy. First, we should probably make you something to wear, like a loincloth." "What's that?" "its a simple piece of clothing. It covers your crotch and usually your butt, too. Primitive peoples have been known to use them, making them out of animal hides or even leaves!" "I wanna go with the leaf option." "Why?" "I feel like we're not prepared for hunting. Even with your knives and those guns." "Oh. Well then if we're going with the leaf option, we'll need one big enough. We'll also need something to hold it onto. Hmm... We could use a vine. I think there are some in these woods. Let's go look." The two went off into the woods to find what they needed.
Sure enough, they found two large leaves and some vines. Ritch measured Misha by the waist and used one of his knuckle knives to cut a sizeable piece. He tied on the two leaves and tied the loincloth around the dalmatian's waist. "Well?" Misha asked, grinning and sticking out his arms in a way that said 'ta-da!' "How do I look?" "Uh. Cute, I guess. You kind of look dressed like Adam." "As in Adam and Eve?" "Yep. Let's head back to the camp." So the two headed back.
They spent most of the day chilling and keeping an eye out for any Foundation patrols that were looking for them. Their day was very peaceful. It almost made them forget that they were fugitives from the foundation. They got to know each other very well. Misha was glad to be having a good time. Ritch explained that he didn't have many friends and that most people distrusted him since most of his family were members of the terrorist organization known as the Serpent's Claw. For this reason, some had speculated that he himself was a spy for them. But this was not the case. Misha could tell that he was telling the truth. Ritch used his knives to light another fire and the two, once again, fell asleep under the stars.
