Here's a piece I got from Shawntae at Anthrocon this year, a new character set in the universe of his Extinctioners comic.
Mercury is a a reluctant Tracker, a legion of soldiers fighting against their own race for various reasons. Some do so willingly, while others are forced into it due to the practicality of their hybrid super powers. Mercury is of the latter.
This timid rabbit was forced into servitude by threat of death and is now trapped in the position of serving the invading fleet. He’s afraid of having to face the fate of those who refused servitude, so he continues to be obedient despite doing things that he would never dream of doing otherwise. His moral conscience is continually screaming for a way out, unable to cope with the stress and guilt, yet out of self-admitted cowardice he will not refuse his orders and continues to fight against his own kind. He can’t find escape, and is too afraid to try.
Powers-wise, he has the ability to secrete and shape an ultra-slippery, silvery fluid from his pores. He can harden it at will to form objects like spikes and shields (think T-1000 from Terminator 2, except he can't melt into it himself).
He better be careful; Lynx Wilde is prowling, too...
