A second location from my Kaleida worldbuilding project.
The Hot Rains is a range of volcanoes that arose close to Kaleida's equator. They were highly active throughout their early history and became tall enough to create their own weather systems. As the rain landed in their craters it heated up. This created an illusion that the rain itself was hot, which earned these few volcanoes the tongue-in-cheek name "Hot Rains".
Later, the Hot Rains transformed into the Nacrefalls through an extended process that has been drawn in a set of 9 images. This is the first.

Possible ret-cons: To deviate from using entirely green foliage for Kaleida as much as I can without removing the sense of rainforest locations like this one being a lush paradise. At the time YellowOpossum drew this picture I wasn't sure what other colours to use, and I may still revert to green, but there are so many other possibilities for colour that I would like to review this series of pictures at some point.
