As Legion ran some diagnostics in the gentle hours of the evening, he was surprised by the door sliding open to reveal the form of a human, awkwardly stumbling his way into the AI core.
"Hey, Legion." Markus called out, seeing the geth unit perk its flashlight head in his direction.
The occular apparatus flexed, twisting as it focused in on Markus, little expressive plates flexed from the outer edges of the geth's face. "Welcome Markus." The synthetic, scratchy voice filled the otherwise quiet room.
The human cleared his throat and spoke again. "Can I ask you for an odd favor?"
Legion leaned in, recognizing the human as one of the few that seemed to actually enjoy his company. "Further elaboration required, we are inclined to accept but parameters are currently unknown."
"Very fair." The human nodded as he took a few steps closer. It took him a quick moment of nervously fiddling around with his hands to remember that the geth were unlikely to care about the regular social stigma associated with the request Markus had in mind. With a gulp he straightened his shoulders continued. "Can you zap me down in size and put your feet on me? Just like... let me hang around them for a bit?" An awkward silence fell over the room as the geth continued staring. Expressionless. "No greater purpose to it, really." Markus was quick to add. "Purely for recreational purposes."
Legion’s eye twisted a few more times, his plates flapped with confusion and a lack of pattern. The silence between them was uncomfortable, and just when Markus was about to speak, Legion held up a finger to silence him. "One moment... we have scanned your recent extranet downloads. We now possess better understanding of your request."
"Y-yeah…" Markus nodded as red flooded his cheeks. "Is that… err, fine?"
Legion seemed to stare for a moment longer, before stepping closer to Markus and lowering his head to face the human – the platform stood taller already. "We have no reason to decline your request. Processing power required to facilitate… recreational activities of this nature is minimal. Will this boost your morale?" Markus nodded. “Acknowledged.”
The omnitool glowed on Legion's arm, while the geth tapped away at the interface. A hum and light grew from the palm, and Legion aimed it towards Markus. "Please hold still, we do not wish to alter intended results."
In a flash, the AI core went from a small room on a star ship, to a colossal barren city. As Markus' vision returned, he found himself atop a sheet of steel, looking high at the skyscraper of geth ahead of him. Shifting a little in its socket, a spotlight of an eye beamed down onto the human. It wasn't until Legion took a step forward that Markus really understood just how small he was now. The toe itself seemed insurmountable, towering taller than a mountain and stretching wider than a city block. The leg loomed higher still, rapidly fading into a blurry mess with the rising height.
It took Markus a few moments to take in the world around him, a few more to comprehend the scale of the geth and almost a full minute for his hanging jaw to finally shift back into place. The human shook his head, powering up his omni-tool and messaging the towering titan that stood miles tall above him. "That is a much more significant size difference than I anticipated." The human admitted. "I like it!"
"We have calculated the approximate ratio that would optimize your enjoyment of this process." Legion spoke with its typical matter-of-factly attitude. It raised a foot above Markus, the toes moving with little wasted momentum, gently pivoting over the human. It was like watching a crane lower its payload, descending down towards Markus with hardly any speed, forcing the human to sit back more and more as it descended. Markus would feel the rubbery texture of the joint as it settled down on him, a careful and delicate load holding the human in place. "We are… glad you are pleased with the results."
The foot shifted then, the two metallic digits lowering on either side of the human as Legion patiently waited for the human to find his own way around the comparatively gigantic appendage. The geth’s highly accurate sensors would just about manage to pick up the motions of the speck-sized organic slowly climbing into the rubbery spot between his toes.
And soon after, the licks followed. The data Legion collected suggested something like this would happen, although the exact reasoning behind such actions remained a mystery to the geth. "We not understand your fascination with this platform’s locomotor system. Metal and rubber has no nutritional value."
Markus paused for a moment, taking the time to breathe and calm down before responding. "I believe my brain is wired to process the feeling of comparative insignificance as relaxing. Placing my well-being in the hands of someone I trust like this is freeing, it helps relieve stress."
Legion, lifted his foot up in the air – a meticulously calculated move, forcing the tiny human to scramble to prop himself up, simulating danger in accordance with Markus’ presumed desires. "Acknowledged." He announced with a nod before placing to foot back down on the ground with a heavy thud that broke the organic’s grip and sent him tumbling down along the rubbery folds of the platform’s foot. "Your trust in the geth continues to be noted."

Xenoscape, he’s an amazing artist for an incredible eye for detail. And it’s about time I acknowledged the Geth, and specifically best boy Legion from Mass Effect.
To be honest the only reason, there’s no writing featuring Legion or any other Geth on the page is that I don’t feel like I can do their lore justice. Not that it’s going to stop me forever~
