Artist's Notes:
Yeah, I dont really have a huge novel written for this image, I just wanted to try and do a sea background as Austell and I have been going down to the beach a lot lately and I just love walking the beaches of the Irish Sea <3 So I thought I'd draw Kou laying on the beach. This image is HEAVILY referenced, from multiple sources, and I still feel like I didnt do any of them justice, but I feel like I did a good job. Its definately a new angle for me, and I struggled a lot with it, and almost quit when I got too frustrated, but I'm glad I stuck with it. I feel like I learned a lot especially about anatomy from this and that feels good.
I really love the background and how it came out especially the water, as I feel like I am getting better at them. I just wish my actual drawing was getting better at the same rate my BG's are LMAO.
So yeah, enjoy Kou at the beach just waiting for the tide to come in <3
Also, I am really loving all the things you can do in Krita, its really been fun experimenting and enjoying all of the brushes and techniques and skills you can pick up from that program <3
