An easy recipe that I just had to get from
!******************************
One of the meals I've concocted to make use of the veggies & herbs I've grown, and this featured my sweet basil and red pear tomatoes.
1. BAGELS, slice in half lengthwise, and lightly toast in a toaster or broiler, then arrange cut-side up on a baking sheet
2. OLIVE OIL, drizzle over bagels
3. MOZZARELLA CHEESE, shredded, sprinkled over bagels
4. CHERRY TOMATOES, sliced, lay over cheese
5. FRESH BASIL, shredded, sprinkle over tomatoes
6. DRIED HERBS, like oregano, salt, & black pepper, ground, sprinkle over tomatoes
7. BROIL, in oven, broiler, or toaster oven, at 350F for no more than 5 min, or until cheese is melted and slightly golden
Enjoy!
From Chris: While plain bagels make a better 'canvas' for the pizza, that does not mean you cannot expand your horizons (and pizza, in its own right, is certainly customizable). Try sesame, onion, or even everything bagels (as long as its savory - the sweet bagels, such as cinnamon raisin or maple swirl, I would lean more towards doing a dessert / breakfast pizza instead.)
