Story:
"Run!" Riptor shouted, prompting them to do just that. Before long, they were inundated by small darts. By some miracle of fate, not a single one hit; granted, they went above and beyond distance wise. It wasn't like the darts could curve around corners.
The adventure duo took a moment to rest, sharing their relief with not sustaining an injury. Riptor wasn't a fan of the situation they were in and wanted to propose they head back; however, Alexandra, now knowing how the type of danger they faced, felt assured that this was the temple that housed a particular relic she'd been searching for.
More determined than ever, Alexandra led the charge deeper into the temple. A side room appeared up ahead, and she walked inside without a care; yet, she wasn't an impatient fool when it came to the object she'd discovered. In the centre of the room stood a pedestal, and held atop it's engraved stone structure, rested a black orb. It reflected light but wasn't transparent at all.
"Hold my torch, would you? I'll check to see if there's a mechanism to it," Alexandra said.
Enjoy!
