Ceri the kobold walks out to a rocky crag in the deepest, darkest depths of night. Their cloak flutters behind them in the cold sea breeze, book clutched tightly to their chest. Ceri wants to summon their master, to guide them, to give them strength for trials and tribulations ahead. So, they steps onto the edge of the cliff, one footpaw perched on a boulder. And from there, they take their book in their metal prosthetic arm, flip it open to a particular spell, and read.
Their master, from a space out of time, of a color from between space, answers the little kobold's call.
