Reptile Cynrik - Theme 2010
This is a new version of my old “Reptile Cynrik Theme”.
The theme is not very new, but I’ve added some new arrangements and a completely new rhythm. It used to be a 4/4 style, but now I’ve used a 3/4 style – which came out pretty cool!
The song is slow and contains my usual 3 parts: beginning, slower intro, short ending.
The theme is composed of two major cues: a wild, asian-like, floating part with mostly flutes, percussion and strings. This is the arrangement for the “wild” and “native” side of REPTILE!
The other arrangement is made of brass and and choirs. This represents the “civilized” part of REPTILE! When he became a knight and served for the humans, his “native” side has changed a lot.
In the end, both cues come together… for REPTILE is more than meets the eye. ^^
Arranged, composed and performed by Patrick Reichel aka REPTILECYNRIK
Media used: YAMAHA PSR-1000
Working time: 4 hours

Well, this song is made up 255 bars. Tempo is 190 and it's overall 4:02 minutes long.
I used about 18 channels (one for each voice/sound!) and 3 layers. Layer 1: rhythm, Layer 2: main voice, Layer 3: secondary voice. ^^
This is how I work. I've recorded each part individually, but had to play everything LIVE... especially the melody. :D
Yepp, this is it.
I need a new instrument soon, hehehe... this is already the LIMIT of my machine. :(
Thanks very much! ^^

Hi Rep,
I'm really glad you posted some music.
Because right now I could really use some uplift.
Thanks for posting this.
PS:
I'll be ok.
It's just that I've had a bad week and a relationship I thought was going to go beyond this go awry because of what I wrote in a journal.
Wouldn't even communicate his feelings to me.
But anyway,
Thanks for posting this music Rep :)

Thanks Rep,
I'm trying to be.
Is it ok if I PM you?
I need to talk about this a little more with you because it's hitting me a little harder then I expected.
I'd rather not go public with it if that's alright.
I'm mulling over whether to take it national on KnotCast.
I'll do the best I can to explain this.
Thanks Rep.

Is a very complete musical piece. In the first part I believed to hear a little delay of the left percussion, but after to listen by second time the piece, I believe that perc have the right time. I like the choir and the environmental sensasión that it generates. lately I have not been the so much of your work in Reptile, but I believe that you music is supplemented very well with what you make. Congrats Patrick and I hope to hear more music from you.
