Just thought I'd share something with a little more composition to it involving that gigantic wolf spider I found outside my door yesterday. It was getting dark and I have to think he was hanging out by he bright doorway to find an easy snack and probably an easy mate nearby.

Nothing special on the camera.
However, in Photoshop I roughly did the following:
Went to levels and enhanced channel contrast then faded that to 75%
Used the reduce noise filter with the noise reduction all the way up and everything else all the way down. The result is a creamy sort of blur.
Faded that blur by 50%, bringing back most of the detail.
Went back to levels and punched up the monochromatic contrast and...voila.
It does sorta have an unreal quality to it.
