Now I miss living in the midwest. That is one nifty spider. The one I caught in Missouri got loose in my dorm room and I never did find it.

Wow, this looks like CGI. Did you use any odd filters or settings on the camera?

Nothing special on the camera.
However, in Photoshop I roughly did the following:

Went to levels and enhanced channel contrast then faded that to 75%
Used the reduce noise filter with the noise reduction all the way up and everything else all the way down. The result is a creamy sort of blur.
Faded that blur by 50%, bringing back most of the detail.
Went back to levels and punched up the monochromatic contrast and...voila.

It does sorta have an unreal quality to it.

Disgusting AND awesome.
