After the terrifying events in "Skull Duggery Rides Again", who's to say nothing else could happen afterward that might leave a certain someone or more suffering from a form of paranoia, distress, or PTSD, especially after encountering things coming alive like furniture, plants, even pumpkins that try to kill you? Or worst of all, hit by an aging spell that turns you beyond old that it leaves you weak, tired, and close to withering away as you see how it has affected your skin, hair, and loss of strength, death calling upon your door sooner than expected. I mean we can't imagine how Sophie felt when she got turned into an old woman in "Howl's Moving Castle". I can only imagine how scared to death Boot Hill must have felt when he along with Saddle Sore and Mayor Bulloney got double-crossed by Skull Duggery, too scared to look at his own reflection anywhere just to see how withered and old Duggery made him, knowing if the law-cows didn't stop those ghouls, they would be in for death knocking on their door if they stayed under the aging spell any longer.

Right now, Boot Hill tries hard to sleep, despite the fact that death almost came for him and would have for everyone in Cow Town if Skull Duggery was not stopped in time, whom Boot Hill still fears more than any villain in Moo Mesa, hoping that he doesn't come back, yet the events were still so frightening that it's hard not to think about it. Even such a terrifying encounter could lead him to hear or see things that are not there, frozen stiff and too afraid to look at one area or the other just to make sure nothing is there. Then again, everything is back to normal and Skull Duggery has already been sent back to the spirit world of the undead, and it's alright...or is it?
