Prologue to Silverwing. Only two pages long. It's a Guardians of Ga'hoole fanfic but hopefully understandable if you haven't read any of them. The Ga'hoole books take place thousands of years after 'The Others' disappeared and in the later books the owls rediscover many books written by them. It should be obvious who The Others were.
There shouldn't be any spoilers in this one but there are bound to be in later chapters. It does take place after the full set of sequels and the great flourishing. The book and the golden man should remain mysterious for a while, though there are some vague clues to his identity.

Ahh, I was always interested how "Others" come into the lives of the inhabitants of this world.
Personally, I would like to maybe see more of our advance tech fall into their hands. Perhaps not electricity maybe, but something like the wheel maybe.
But I hope you update regardless.

The larger the site, the more unlikely your story will be found.
Not to mention tags are very important. Ga'hoole instead of Gahoole for example.
In other words, it is very important to list common tags associated with your art or stories.
FF.net is a potential site. deviantART and SoFurry are potential sites as well.
Even the Guardians of Ga'hoole RPG could be one, though I have yet to see much activity from it.
