The sound of typing keys lightly punctuated the sound of lo-fi music in Sly's room. The wolfox bopped his head to the low repeated beat as he worked on an article for "Paw Prints". He took a moment to stretch his arms above his head before a new sound caught his attention. A light knock at his door. "Come in." he called. A second later the door opened to let a familiar white furred feline into the room. Sly smiled at the sight of Maneki; one of his housemates and 'pets'. "Good afternoon Kitty." he said as she approached him.

"Good afternoon Master. How goes the article?" she asked curiously.

"It's coming along. I'm almost done with the rough draft." he answered.

"That's good. Lunch is almost ready." she announced as the gold coin tag on her red collar sparkled lightly.

"Alright. I'll wrap this rough draft up and be there shortly." he said as thoughts of that smell coming under the door he'd been trying hard to ignore made his stomach rumble lightly.

Maneki giggled lightly at the sound before a thought crossed her mind. "Oh! I was talking to Lucky earlier too." said the calico remembering.

"Did she give you any clues as to what she wants for her birthday this year?" asked Sly curiously.

"She wants to do what we did last year. Karaoke." said Maneki.

"You remember what happened last year don't you?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.

A soft sigh flowed from Maneki at the thought. "Of course I remember Master." she said as the memory of an angry Luck flashed through her mind.

"What do you mean the place is closing? *Hic* I said one more song! *Hic* Asshole!" shouted the cream furred feline raising a middle finger to the camera in the corner of the small room in Maneki's memory. Luck was not one to take someone raining on her good time lightly. That much was certain.

"Well hopefully they don't remember. Then again they aren't the only karaoke place in town. Just the closest. We can make it happen for her." noted Sly as he went back to typing.

"Alright." nodded Maneki in agreement. "I'm going to go tell Lucky that lunch is almost ready. See you in a few minutes Master." said Maneki as she turned to leave.

"See you in a few Kitty." he said as the door closed, and the sounds of lo-fi became the main sound in the room again.

Seems Luck can get pretty ornery when provoked while drunk. Sly and Maneki will have to make sure to keep an eye on her if they're taking her in public for her brithday.
