From a quick session of messing around, trying to do an iridescent type effect for a (random) giant birb.
Many cities I see in pictures are kind of flat. Feels like city stuff I draw is usually kind of plain and boring, honestly. You can certainly tell me if you think so. Maybe because I'm from somewhere that has lots of hills with relatively tall buildings in the midst of it, I feel that's the type I'd like to be able to do really.
So I guess I should really be practising cities more but I also feel I'm probably impatient about it. I then get a bit lost on how to get started anyway because I don't find any references I really feel comfortable with trying to do studies from.

Yeah, funnily enough I was just near the old manual for the game Pharaoh and thinking about how doing a settlement of that sort would work for some macro art.
And thanks. Maybe if I spent more time on it, the sheen might work better with more fine detailing. I've just been trying to observe better how this type of shine works in terms of hue shifts and this felt like a colourful one to try and replicate.
