Just as proof, this is how she lets me know that the chair is still hers when she's not using it. We buy her these little electronic mice with chirpers in them that she never actually plays with, but she enjoys carrying around in her mouth and offering them up.
I giggle every time I hear her walking around the house with one, because nothing is more cute than hearing a cat try to meow with their mouth full. It comes out as "Mmmmnnngh! Mrrrrf! Mmmrgh!"

It is not unusual for me to wake up with three of these in bed with me every morning. I suppose it's better than waking up to real mice.

Ha! I spy a parallel with my cat... she's claimed numerous "babies" that she refuses to play with but will drag throughout the house when she wants attention.
Oversized stuff rabbit...
Socks... preferably the clean ones that just left the laundry...
Slippers...
Washcloths...
Whenever she decides to carry one, she usually kindly informs the house with similar "mmmmmmrgh!" yowling.

We used to have an entire cat family; mother, 4 sons and 3 daughters. The mother had been feral before, so taught the girls how to hunt. The oldest, Buffy, would bring home salamanders and take them to a specific spot in the house, then loudly announce it until all of the other cats had come to see it and praise her.
One day the youngest girl caught a salamander and did the same thing. Buffy took one look, then left and came back a few minutes later with a 2-foot long snake.
The lesson being: don't try to upstage Feep's hunting prowess, or you will wake up with a horse head or something in your bed instead of little stuffed mice!

My sister used to have an outdoor cat, and every morning she got a mouse on her doorstep from the cat as a present. At least the cat was keeping the mouse population under control which was rather bad before she got the cat, but she always had to watch where she stepped when she went outside every day. lol
