One raining day I was driving home from work. I was just cruising along when a car going to fast going the wrong way come right towards me. The car was trying to pass in a no passing zone unaware that there was a car tired cutting off a slower moving truck, it was to late and the mistake was made. I turned the steering wheel hard but so did other driver. The slick wet roads made it harder to break. Then there was an impact and then blackness.

I woke up in a daze. I don’t remember what happened after impact but I knew I was in a accident. Waking up in a hospital wasn’t shocking because I knew that’s where I’ll land but then I saw it. A large thick pink colored tail. I want to grab it and saw my hands were different much different. Fur covered most of it and my fingers now pink and ending in sharp claws.

I pulled off the blanket and saw tail was indeed attached to me. My legs, one which was in a cast but I could tell was also changed. It too had now been covered in fur. I noticed a phone on a side table. My phone? I grabbed it and turned it on. I just pressed camera icon without trying to unlock phone first. I took a short breath and flipped camera view to portrait mode. I wasn’t seeing my own human face but one of an animal, an opossum to be exact. I had light blue eyes instead of brown ones. My curly black hair now red, straight and long. A bondage covered my forehead. I didn’t know what to say.
