why is the shadowy area under his nose (maybe a moustache?) so square?

it's a cool concept but some of the details of how the beard connects to his face don't seem right

Its actually a bandanna with the tentacles coming out of it but yessss it does look like a beard. I'll dick with it some.

Ahh, stencils! A hint, as I've done a lot of them; if the stencil seems like it's too weak, split the areas to be painted/cut out between two stencils. Might make it easier in the long run, IF they feel a bit weak. And do let us know what the final result is!

What did/do you normally cut yours out on? I'll be using a trace projector to do this on butcher/craft paper. Those are the cheapest materials that came to mind. Unless you can think of anything better?

Another note, I have to take out a lot of the black space and add more negative space in the bandanna(it looks like a beard). Hopefully this will help to break it up some.

Most of my stencils were done with poster board. I also tried using spray adhesive on the back of it to stick it to whatever I was printing on, with mixed results. If you're doing this, um... outside somewhere, don't bother with the adhesive. For what it's worth, I think Banksy (look him up if you don't know who he is) uses a roller and latex paint and also seems to use cardboard stencils. Good luck, dood!
