"Hey buddy," Barnes mentioned as he flipping through channels. Found a good show to watch to drown out the silence.
"Hmm?" Scrap said as he said. He flipped a page and searched for where he left off. It's been a while since he's read his favorite book. He sighed and returned back to the start. Probably is the 20th time he had to start the book all over. "What's up?" the mutt replied back.
"You ever thought about that offer I gave ya. I mean, I do have that extra room in my home. It's all prepped and everything. You can move in whenever you want." Scrap laid the book on his chest. Thought about it for a while. Scrap had forgotten how many times Barnes has brought up the whole becoming roommates. Though the answer is always the same.
"Yeah... I thought about it and I'll pass." Not that Barnes is a bad roommate. Scrap likes staying over, but... Barnes always has to live at a certain temperature. Scrap can only last maybe 3 days... if he's lucky but that's all that his body can stand. They're also the issue with the.. journal. He doesn't want to repeat the whole cave issue again. Besides who knows what else the journal will do at his home.
"Ah okay. No worries... Hehe." He chuckled at the end. "But what about moving to a different apartment? or home? I'm sure there someplace here that's willing to rent to you."
"Believe me I've tried. No one wants to rent a home to this mutt over here. And the ones that will... well, I can't even afford them. Besides, there nothing wrong with this place."
"Aren't you and the landlord aren't on good terms?" Barnes asked. Scrap stayed silent and buried his head into his book. "Need me to say a few words to the big gargoyle?"
That won't be necessary. I already paid my rent. So he'll back off for a while."
"Ah okay. Just sucks that you always have to deal with that." Scrap thought back for a second, Remember one of the entries incidents that happened to affect his landlord. Turning him into a rampaging giant. He chased and battled him through the neighborhood. He destroyed half the place. Oddly though, Scrap place wasn't hit, but thankfully Scrap managed to put everything all together. Thankfully the reset happened or that would another conversation they would be having. Scrap let out a big sigh of relief. "Man Barnes, if you only knew..."
