Another Bird World Problems picture. Beaks certainly make it difficult to kiss. Thordani and Asari have other ways of showing affection, but Nathan and Dawn haven't learned those yet!

Just takes practice. Learn to settle the tips of each beak into the corners of the other.

Slits in the back. It's easier to slip INto versus slipping *OUT* of. Probably velcro.

Birds actually do kiss! They just tap their beaks, or as you mentioend beak nibs. ;) (Puffins for example beak nib)

This is not only birds problem. You see, I have quite a pointy nose. Then imagine I finally found a girlfriend who happens to have a kind of pointy nose to. And then imagine we kiss for the first just to end up poking my girlfriend’s face with my nose and i vice versa. XD

Anything with neck should be able to do so. Owls can even rotate their head and spin it like hell.
