Story:
"Alex, are you alright? Hold on; your eyes look a little weird," Riptor said. She wanted to respond but noticed a blue tint in her glasses, reflecting at her. What she'd perceived was the first of many physical oddities that manifested upon her body. These new sensations were intense, so much so, she dropped the gemstone and reached for her skull. The pressure on it was immense.
Centimetre by centimetre, Alexandra slowly flipped herself over and crawled onto her knees. She tried to sit up; however, right as she did, another wave of pressure rushed through her being. Alexandra had no idea what was happening to her, yet the physical changes were beyond evident for her partner. Parts of her skin had turned into black scales. Moreover, her once brown hair had shifted white.
Riptor yelled with worry but dared not approach too close, afraid that some strange transformative disease that had been locked away for untold years now afflicted her. Alexandra opened her eyes and gazed upon her hands. Her fingers had grown in size and were now adorned by pristine white claws.
A significant portion of the experience was pain, yet at the same time, a peculiar yet profound sense of power overwhelmed her person. Never before had Alexandra experienced such a surge of strength. It was intoxicating and helped her overcome what came next.
Her skull elongated, reforming her head, then came the sudden crack at the back of her cranium, alluding to the coming of two large bone-like protrusions. The size increase in her fingers, hands and arms, was the same for the rest of her body. She grew more and more, turning into what appeared to be the physical manifestation of what the dragon statue represented.
Enjoy!
