Well, I figured I might as well get a fresh commission of Lyris once more! Namely a full body of them with their full fur pattern etc. This piece has been done by the fantastic OgnySky, who has a fantastic art style and approach!
I also figured this would also double as a more... exprimental commission as well. I like to give artists creative freedom when it comes to their commissions unless I had something very specific in mind and even then, I try and give room for the artist to do it the way they would like. This time, I gave near complete freedom with the piece, short of the reference sheet and a suggestion on one piece of clothing, the rest was left to the artist's discretion. The result is an androgynous look that works well in that style!
I'm hoping that for future commissions, both with familar artists and new ones that we can do something similar by letting them go ahead with the piece the way they want, essentially giving them total artistic freedom and leaving it upto their own interpretation based on the infomation and references that are passed over. Final Fantasy Title Style! (I'll do a journal on that later).
Either way, very happy with this piece and trying some more stuff with Lyris down the line!
