Oh my God. I could go on for miles about The Road. I would definitely recommend both the book and the movie. The book is more about the journey of the father, his reasons for doing what he does. The movie more explores the relationship between the father and the boy, what they do for each other.
By all means, do read the book. And see the movie.

I have read Things Fall Apart, which is a dreary trudge of a damn good book as well. I'll check out The Road.
Honestly, you have managed to communicate so much through so little, a lot of times that is one of my favorite things in art. This is so complex even with the stark composition and the extremely limited color pallet, and like I said it's three rabbit people, essentially furries, and I still got a little misty eyed looking at this. This is why you're one of my all time favorite (present-day) artists.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSXM3Zg0eBo the scene is at 1:20. Also, yeah, core furry stuff. Its a dear childhood memory. You can see how them being bunnies in your pic only helped me think of it more. XD
Times are tough indeed, but I knock on wood for myself and my friends. We gotta help each other. ^^

At first I thought the title was referring to parentage (son is half of each parent, each parent is the better half of the other, etc). I'm not sure why I saw something like that before noticing the divided food in his hands.
Your art is perhaps the most enjoyable I have ever encountered anywhere.

I really like this peice...probably because I'm a sap, and anything with a family, parents with child, makes me go all squishy inside. Also because...well, all of your art is amazing, but I'm fond of peices that are minimalist. So much is communicated though what is "just" a picture of three rabbits - without a background, or accompanying story. But when I look at it I can't help but wonder what their story is, and try to create one in my mind for them.
